Aggression is a distance opening behavior. Predation is a distance closing behavior. They’re not the same thing.

That was the “summation statement” in a presentation on the difference between aggression and predation. Aggression is often about making something go away (distance opening) and predation is about acquiring food (distance closing). You have to look at motivation!
